Kathryn is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work and Associate Dean, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) in the College of Health, Massey University. Her involvement in WIL spans her 20+ years at Massey and she continues to organise placements and teach both undergraduate and post-graduate students and their WIL supervisors. She chairs the WIL Working Group at Massey University which has recently developed the Ako Tūhono WIL Quality Framework that is underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and provisions. Kathryn’s current research interests include supporting neurodivergent WIL students; risk associated with WIL; the wellbeing of WIL students; inclusive WIL; and the work readiness of new graduates.
