2026 WACE IRS and WILNZ Annual Conference
In 2026, the WILNZ Annual Conference will be combined with the WACE International Research Symposium, to be held at Auckland University of Technology. Join us for insightful discussions, presentations, poster sessions, workshops, and that all-important networking.
Key dates:
- Abstracts submission opens 1 September 2025
- Abstract submission for oral presentations/conference proceedings closes 1 December 2025
- Abstract submission for posters and workshops closes 2 February 2026

Innovative Practice Presentations – WILNZ
During the combined event, there will be an opportunity for presentations by WILNZ members on Innovative WIL Practice, as part of the WILNZ annual conference.
Abstracts should clearly focus on new, unique or innovative practices in WIL (rather than a specific program, module or paper at an academic institution). The practice described should be supported by relevant literature, and implications of the innovation/practice and how it might inform and improve WIL practice generally should be discussed.
The abstract should include: Title, Background/Introduction (including aim of the presentation with relevant literature), Brief description of the innovative WIL practice, Discussion, Implications for the WIL community.
In-text citation is encouraged but a reference list is not required.
